Off The Beaten Path Computer Solutions

OTBP Lugoff Weather "The 2 Minute Warning"

Since you found me....

I would like to welcome you to yet another insignificant section of www! So hit the back button or jump a page link, better yet turn off the computer and fly a kite, splash around in a pool, break out a book. Just you try to do something that won't require 120 volts, or a DC transformer, some LEDs, or a type of device with a Lithium Ion battery.

That's Why I'm Here.. Geeknician..

In play as in work, we have to deal with electronics that keep us productive or well engrossed in activity. The part I play in this small section of life is when things go off the beaten path; electronics need maintenance, repair, upgrades, updates, patches, flashing, all sorts of care because THEY.. Yes!..they make up stuff to break our gear..grrrrr! Yes THEY do! Indeed, electronics demand that FAQ's be asked and answered. Mostly electronics need TLC and a vacation/spa treatment from a superlative geeknician. Trust me, your stuff was not manufactured nor developed to last indefinitely. Unlike that still working chest freezer my dad and I removed from the lake house. , "How old is that thing?" I digress, yet our electronic gear requires attention and professional services. I hope you will consider contacting Off The Beaten Path to provide your Computer Solutions.

OTBP Lugoff Weather "The 2 Minute Warning" Davis Weather Station

I have been running a Davis Instruments Corp. Vantage Pro 2 posting weather data to Wunderground since 2006. As eager as I was to keep the system running 24/7; I found myself needing a Computer Solution that would do the task of retrieving data from the console and posting the data to the internet with a smaller Carbon Footprint. So in October of 2009 I moved my Ambient Weather program and data off a power hungry Sony Vaio of which its power suppy is rated at 150 Watts . The Fit-PC2 made my setup GREENER by utilizing only 8 watts. For an 'Information System' that was intended to work 24/7, this reduced my power consumption by 1875%. This is just an example of how this palm sized wonder will work. Do you have a home or small business PC that needs to be on 24/7 as a web server, media hub, Database, weather station? Consider this site and a Fit-PC2.
